Jennifer Young
Jennifer
is a Virginia artist who paints impressionist landscape oil paintings
of both American and European scenes. She has recently returned from a
painting trip to Provence. While there, she enjoyed the opportunity to
paint in Monet's Garden and other wonderful places in France. Her colorful
vistas are painted in the historic 'En Pleinair' style. 'En Pleinair'
is a French term meaning "in the open air," and refers to painting
on location in the tradition of the Impressionists and the landscape painters
of the Barbizon School. Jennifer's paintings are a visual journal of places
as far away as France and Italy, and as close to home as the artist's
own back yard. Her work has been exhibited in art galleries, museums and
art centers across the United States.
