City Art Gallery is a fine arts gallery located in Greenville, North Carolina. The gallery is in its eleventh year of operation in the Lynndale Shoppes. The gallery features the work of established regional and national artists and craftspeople. An extensive collection of paintings, ceramics, sculpture, glass and photography is showcased in a light-filled exhibition space.

Each month, the gallery features a special showing of one or more artists. Each current feature showcases an exhibition, beginning with an opening reception with artists in attendance.

City Art Gallery offers a wide variety of artwork for private and corporate collectors. Gallery owner Torrey Stroud, together with associates Jaclyn Morgan and Jeff Kiefer, offers design, consultation and installation services. Custom framing is offered on site. An impressive line of hand carved and hand finished moldings are available in addition to an extensive line of manufactured moldings.

THE WHO

Torrey Stroud, owner of City Art Gallery, has been in the gallery business for 25 years. Torrey founded City ArtWorks in New Bern in 1987, and ten years later moved the business to Greenville and changed the name to City Art Gallery. Torrey earned a B.A. degree at UNC-Chapel Hill and an M.Ed. degree at East Carolina University. She has served on the Council of Friends at Tryon Palace and is involved with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pitt County through tutoring and art support.

Jaclyn Morgan joined the gallery as an associate in 2010. A Raleigh native, Jaclyn graduated from N.C. State in 2005 with a B.A. in Communications and minors in Art Studies and Journalism. For five years, Jaclyn worked in marketing communications at the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce in Morrisville, NC. She moved to Greenville in 2009 with her husband Rem. Jaclyn is also a freelance, natural light photographer. Check out her blog at www.jaclynmorganphotography.com. She is a member of the Junior Women's Association of Greenville and serves on the Greenville Museum of Art board.

Jeff Kiefer joined the gallery as an associate in summer 2007. Jeff graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). He and his wife Pamela traveled throughout Europe for a year following graduation, where he was a chef, among other things, paying the way. An Indiana native, Jeff moved to North Carolina to enroll as a graduate student at ECU. He earned his MFA degree in sculpture in May 2011.
