Arthur Weeks (1930 – 1988) The vivid, lyrical paintings of Arthur Weeks blaze with color and joy and arouse in the viewer a yearning to purchase a ticket for some exotic clime. A World traveler, he liked to lose himself and explore his way back to his hotel, making countless sketches along the way. Yet, he seldom painted objects as they appeared. His use of intensified colors made each painting become an accumulation of impressions.
