"Painting is the language I use to express my reverence  for the beauty of the natural world. The delicacy of a flower, the power of the ocean waves, the  brilliance of a sunset; all are awe-inspiring and represent one of our greatest gifts in this life, worthy of celebrating and protecting." - Jennifer Young

Jennifer has been painting professionally for 20 years. She works primarily in oils in the genre of plein air and studio landscape and representational painting. She is a member of Oil Painters of America, the Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters Assoc. and the Virginia Plein Air Painters Assoc. She received her formal training in painting and art history at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she graduated with honors.

While she is herself an art instructor, she has also continued her own studies with notable landscape painters, Kenn Backhaus, Matt Smith, and Kevin Macpherson. Jennifer's vibrant landscapes have been collected internationally and her work is a part of both private and corporate collections. Among her corporate collectors are Westminster Canterbury, Richmond and Frances Mayes' Tuscan Sun Wines.
